A friend asked me last year: "How much are you actually worth right now?"
I had no answer. Not because the money wasn't there — it was spread across a Zerodha account, three mutual funds, a Bengaluru flat, some SGB bonds, a PPF, and a savings account in euros in Germany. The problem was none of it lived in the same place.
I tried spreadsheets. The prices went stale. I tried apps — none of them handled a euro salary alongside NSE stocks. Real estate was always a manual number field. Gold was an afterthought.
What I use now
I found Worthly a few months ago. You enter your portfolio once — India stocks, mutual funds, gold, FDs, PPF, real estate — and it fetches everything live. NSE prices, AMFI NAVs, gold spot, FX rates. All current. All in one number.
There's a currency toggle at the top. One click, everything converts to euros. The exchange rate is shown inline. For someone thinking in a foreign currency about India assets, this is the feature.
The Health Check
The Health Check surprised me most. It gives your portfolio a score out of 100 — broken down by emergency fund coverage, savings rate, insurance adequacy, allocation, and gold. Mine flagged that my emergency fund covered 2.3 months, not the recommended 6. The insurance section showed a recommended term cover range in euros. That was a first.
Real estate on a map
My Bengaluru flat shows on a map with "+77% capital gain, 5.5% rental yield, 7 years held" next to it. Seeing it on a map made the number feel real in a way a spreadsheet row never did.
The privacy model
No data is stored on their server. Your portfolio lives only in your browser session. The only things that leave are ticker symbols — to fetch live prices. When you log out, it's gone. You save by downloading a JSON file to your own computer. Google-login users get automatic backup to their own Drive.
Log in, hit calculate, wait for prices to fetch. The number at the top is real. Currency set to euros. Done.
If you're managing India assets from abroad — or just have money scattered across too many places — it's worth 20 minutes to set up.
Track your full net worth — India + global — in one place.
